Project description

Keios led a joint venture that developed tourism strategies for four regions of Uzbekistan under a World Bank initiative. The project delivered investment planning, strategic action plans, regional branding, M&E tools, and capacity building.

Scope of Services

  • Conducted situational analysis of the tourism sector and diagnostic of institutional, infrastructural, and market conditions.
  • Mapped stakeholders and carried out consultations across four regions to support inclusive and locally owned development.
  • Developed a regional GIS database to support spatial planning and project identification.
  • Prepared regional tourism visions and strategies based on geographic and thematic tourism clustering.
  • Identified and prioritised investment projects, leading to a detailed Priority Investment Program.
  • Drafted strategic action plans for each region including spatial concepts and destination development models.
  • Designed regional marketing strategies and a national branding manual.
  • Prepared a monitoring and evaluation system and framework.
  • Implemented a capacity building program to strengthen local and national tourism governance.
