Scope of services
Keios supported the Government of Sierra Leone in identifying and designing tourism infrastructure upgrades for six priority destinations through feasibility studies, stakeholder engagement, GIS analysis, and technical project sheets, under the World Bank-funded Economic Diversification Project.
Scope of Services
- Preliminary studies and GIS-based spatial analysis of 12 candidate sites in the Western Peninsula and Sherbro/Turtle Islands
- Assessment of technical, environmental, and tourism potential of each site
- Participatory processes with stakeholders for destination prioritisation
- Selection of 6 priority destinations for detailed support based on feasibility and strategic value
- Preparation of technical project sheets and design briefs for tourism infrastructure upgrades
- Field visits and stakeholder consultations
- Development of a regional GIS database to support tourism planning and site development
- Collaboration with the client and World Bank task team throughout the assignment
