Project Description

Keios developed local urban development plans for the urban expansion areas of Balbala Sud (1,766 ha), Nagad (1,940 ha), and Farah Had (762 ha), on behalf of the Ministry of Housing, Urban Planning and Environment, targeting more than 300,000 residents.

Scope of Services

  • Urban diagnosis and site analysis of Balbala Sud, Nagad and Farah Had
  • Integration of the master plan guidelines into the local plans
  • Definition of development programs per zone
  • Design of preliminary layouts and draft plans
  • Preparation of thematic maps at 1:5000 scale
  • Drafting of specific urban planning regulations for each zone
  • Organization of technical workshops and stakeholder consultations
  • Production of the final dossiers of the local urban development plans
  • Capacity building of national technical staff
