The activities to be carried out as part of this consultancy include:

  • developing a national strategic framework for action;
  • developing a national product development strategy;
  • elaborating conceptual tourism master plans for four priority tourism areas (Pyramids, Luxor and Aswan, Hurghada, and South Sinai) with the aim of defining and developing demand-oriented, well-focused, and viable systems and projects. This will involve enhancing existing products to attract private sector investment in the post-COVID era.

This activities involve approaching key heritage sites, include by UNESCO in the World Heritage list, such as “Ancient Thebes with its Necropolis”, “Memphis and its Necropolis – the Pyramid Fields from Giza to Dahshur”, “Nubian Monuments from Abu Simbel to Philae”.
These activities build on our team’s prior experience and knowledge gained during the preparation of the National Sustainable Tourism Strategic Plan in 2007-2009. The goal is to enhance existing products and create new opportunities that align with the post-COVID era.
